The game between the Suns and Smokies from Smokies Park was postponed due to severe weather.  The Kodak, Tennessee area was hit Wednesday with a severe storm with heavy rain, lightning, and strong wind that tore apart the tarp that had been covering the infield.
The game is scheduled to be made up as past of a double header on Thursday, with the first of the two seven-inning games beginning at 5:00 p.m.  The second game will start approximately a half hour after game one.  RHP Matthew Neil (1-3, 5.53) was scheduled to start for the Suns, LHP Eric Jokisch (3-1, 3.25) was slated to take the mound for the Smokies.  The starting pitchers for the double headed have not been determined.
The Suns are 6-8 in the second half of the season after a 4-3 win over the Smokies in game one of the series on Tuesday.  Chris Gutierrez collected three hits, including his third home run of the season, and Jeff Dominguez drove in a pair of runs.  Jacksonville has won three straight games against Tennessee.
